Carving the Way for the New Culinary Arts InstituteUsing oversized forks, College President Dr. Karen A. Stout and Chef Christopher Allen Tanner led the groundbreaking ceremony on March 23 for the College’s new Culinary Arts Institute at the Towamencin Town Square complex in Kulpsville. Scheduled to open in 2013, the 15,000 square-foot CAI will feature four state-of-the-art kitchens and equipment, three SMART classrooms, a retail shop for coffee and baked goods, and a first floor patio for dining and grilling. The site can be easily accessed from the Blue Route (I-476) corridor and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Students Host 2nd Annual Relay for Life

Led by students Alysa Murray and Danielle Kennel, the College’s Second Annual Relay for Life raised more than $17,196. This year’s Relay, held in the Central Campus quad in Blue Bell, featured a Hollywood theme, and each participating team sported its own costumes, too. The highlights included the survivors’ walk, luminaire ceremony and the many different student performances.
