Emmy Award-winning TV journalist and author Larry Kane visited the Blue Bell campus on October 7 to talk about his new book, When They Were Boys—The True Story of the Beatles' Rise to the Top, and his experiences reporting on the Beatles in the 1960s-70s. Currently, Larry is the host of the Voice of Reason program that airs on Sunday evenings on The Comcast Network. Happy National Day of Philanthropy!

In celebration of National Philanthropy Day on November 15, Bergey's Ford and Phi Beta Lambda business club students worked together to raise funds for the Student Scholarship fund, as part of Ford Motor Company's Drive 4 UR Community program. For every person (18 and older with a valid license) who test drove a Ford vehicle, Bergey's Ford donated $20 to the Student Scholarship Fund. Poncho Sanchez Kicks Off Jazz Cubano Series

Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Band performed on October 26 as part of the Jazz Cubano Series featured by the College's Lively Arts Series for 2013-14. Supporters of the Lively Arts were invited to a pre-concert event to meet the Grammy Award-winning musician, who paid tribute to the transformative "Cubano-Be, Cubano-Bop" album recorded by two influential architects of Latin jazz, conga drummer/composer Chano Pozo and trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie. Strides for Scholarships 5K Race and Walk

More than 160 runners and walkers of all ages participated in the annual Strides for Scholarships on November 2 at the Blue Bell campus. The event raised more than $10,000 for student scholarships.
