Montgomery County Community College honored five outstanding alumni and one honorary alumnus in October for their accomplishments and community Contributions. They joined 56 of the College's brightest alumni as inductees into the prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame.

Alumni Association Board Vice Chairperson Rev. Patti Thomas introduced the inductees - John J. Adiletto Jr. (1975), David J. Caracausa (1974), Melissa H. Motz (1978), The Hon. Mike A. Vereb (1986), Rising Star inductee Daniel G. Kunze (2006) and Honorary inductee Charles Kahn Jr. - through a series of videos during an Academy Award-like induction ceremony.

John J. Adiletto Jr. (1975) (View Video)

As a dedicated principal of Upper Merion Area Middle School for more than 16 years, John J. Adiletto Jr. was named Middle Level Principal of the the Year for 2011 by the Pa. Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals.

David J. Caracausa (1974) (View Video)

A real estate broker and developer since 1975, David J. Caracausa is the Founder and President of Coldwell Banker Premier Properties, based in Upper Gwynedd, Pa. He consistently ranks as the top broker in Pennsylvania by Coldwell Banker and has been named among the top 100 brokers in the county by the National Association of Realtors and the Wall Street Journal.

Melissa H. Motz (1978) (View Video)

Melissa H. Motz is the Founder and President of Motz Wealth Management, based in Harleysville, Pa. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and a Certified Public Accountant, she has more than 25 years of experience in investment management and financial and tax planning.

Hon. Mike A. Vereb (1986) (View Video)

In 2006, Mike A. Vereb was elected to the Pa. House of Representative for the 150th Legislative District. After graduating from the Montgomery County Municipal Police Academy, he spent 20 years in law enforcement and corporate security, including 10 years with the West Conshohocken Police Department.

Rising Star Alumnus - Daniel G. Kunze (2006) (View Video)

After graduating from the College with an Associate in Science degree in Liberal Studies, Daniel G. Kunze earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Temple University and a Juris Doctorate in Law from Widener University Law School in December 2011. In 2010, Dan joined the Pa. Army National Guard as an officer candidate. He aspires to build a successful legal, military, and political career.

Honorary Alumnus - Charles Kahn Jr. (View Video)

Charles Kahn Jr., a founding member of the College's Board of Trustees, served on the Board from 1964-2008. In 2009, the Association of Community College Trustees recognized him as a Trustee Trailblazer, and later that year, the College awarded him with an Honorary Associate in Letters degree.

2012 Nomination Sought

Submit your nominations for the 2012 Hall of Fame by March 1, 2012 via email to alumni@mc3.edu, or by mail to Montgomery County Community College Alumni Association, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422.

Nomination letters must include the candidate's name, years of attendance, graduation year, and reasons for nomination, as well as any achievements, awards, volunteer service, press clippings or third-party recognition. Individuals may nominate themselves.
