A Global Celebration

More than 30 countries from around the globe were represented at the Fourth Annual International Festival on April 16, 2013, as members of the International Club and the ESL/International Student Services Department shared their food, customs and cultures.

Held in the College Hall dining area in Blue Bell, the fun-filled community event raised more than $700 for the Make-A-Wish

Foundation. While the food was free, students sold soft drinks, t-shirts and raffle tickets to raise funds.

Throughout the evening, students presented an assortment of performances, including Chinese folk dances, Latin songs, and Mexican and Native American dances. The most popular feature of the event, however, was the vast variety of food.



Alternative Spring Break 2013: West Virginia

Eighteen Montgomery County Community College students traded their books for tools during their 2013 spring break to help build homes in Franklin, W. Va., as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Collegiate Challenge program during March 17-22.
