Montgomery County Community College inducted six distinguished individuals into its Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday, October 11, 2013, in the Parkhouse Hall Atrium at Central Campus in Blue Bell. With the new inductees, a total of 68 individuals have been selected from the College's 55,000+ alumni for induction into the Hall of Fame during the past 11 years.
 Timothy P. Briggs, Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 149th Legislative District
Rep. Timothy Briggs, Upper Merion Township, completed his freshman year of college at Montgomery County Community College in 1988-89 before transferring to West Chester University. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Political Science from West Chester and a Juris Doctor from Temple University's Beasley School of Law. After working as a political advisor for more than a decade, Briggs ran for office in 2008 and is currently serving his third term as Representative for Pennsylvania's 149th District, which includes Upper Merion Township, Bridgeport and West Conshohocken boroughs, and parts of Lower Merion Township. He is an associate with the law firm Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell and Lupin.

 Claudia S. Castillo, Doctoral Candidate; Former South American Gymnastic Champion
Ranked best gymnast in Columbia at age 13, Claudia Castillo, Blue Bell, was preparing to represent her country in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics when a vault accident left her paralyzed. Three months later, Castillo with her mother moved to the United States to get medical treatment at The Shriners Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. After 10 surgeries and a decade of rehab, Castillo began working toward a career in psychology. She graduated from Montgomery County Community College in 2000 with an associate's degree in Liberal Studies, and she also holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Gwynedd-Mercy College, and a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. Castillo is currently a doctoral candidate at Arcadia University. She also taught an online Psychology course at Montgomery County Community College. View Video
 Nicola Y. Manning-Davenport, Rising Star Alumna – Client Support Specialist, Pennsylvania Information Management System, Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit
Nicola Manning-Davenport, Lewisburg, was among the first Montgomery County Community College graduates to participate in Bucknell University's Community College Scholars Program. She graduated from Bucknell in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Economics and was soon hired as a Pennsylvania Information Management System Client Support Specialist at the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. She is currently working toward a master's degree in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University. During her time at Montgomery County Community College, Manning-Davenport had the unique opportunity to participate in an international symposium at the World Bank in Washington, D.C.

 Alan D. Porter, Jr., Major League Baseball Umpire
Alan Porter, Warminster, came to Montgomery County Community College in 1997-98 to play baseball under Mustangs Coach Lou Lombardo. After graduating with an associate's degree in General Studies in 1999, Porter took his game in a different direction, enrolling in Wendelstedt Umpire School in Daytona Beach, Fla. in 2002. One of only 37 students nationally selected to join the Professional Baseball Umpire Corp (PBUC), Porter worked his way through umpiring in the Gulf Coast, New York-Pennsylvania, South Atlantic, Carolina, International, and Arizona Fall leagues before working his first major league game in 2010. After spending one year as a major league rover, Porter is now one of only 68 major league umpires in all of baseball.

 William E. Strasburg, Honorary Alumnus – Founding Trustee and Past Foundation Board Chair, Montgomery County Community College
As one of the College's 15 founding trustees in 1964, William Strasburg, Worcester Township, played an instrumental role in bringing higher education to the residents of Montgomery County. Later, he helped establish the College's Foundation and served as its first chair. Strasburg is best known for his impressive career in the news industry. He was a reporter with International News Service, covering beats in Africa and Washington D.C., before purchasing The Ambler Gazette in 1952. He spent 37 years as president of the Montgomery Publishing Company, receiving the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry. In 1988, Strasburg and his wife Sylvia developed and opened Meadowood, a 132-acre retirement community in Worcester Township.

 Charles B. Yarnall, National Clinical Specialist of Cardiovascular Perfusion, Specialty Care, Inc.
Charles Yarnall, Glenside, was a General Studies major and a College Programming Board member at Montgomery County Community College when he was accepted into Hahnemann University's highly competitive Perfusion Program in 1990. A cardiovascular perfusionist is responsible for operating the heart-lung machine and managing a patient's circulatory and respiratory functions during surgeries that require cardiopulmonary bypass. Employed by Specialty Care, Inc., Yarnall currently works at Abington Memorial Hospital as one of only 3,600 licensed cardiac perfusionists in the world. He is part of a research team with a patent on the targeted delivery of macromolecules in the perfusion circuit, and he is a published author and international speaker in his field.
